We are very excited to report that MDA Short Stay has recently undergone a facelift and name change, thanks to donations and support from:

• Community Benefit
• Bow Tie Bear’s Volunteer Events Committee
• Kelly McLean, who raised money from her 30th birthday towards DVD’s, books, games and furniture
• Paint Supplies Hendon

The Short Stay is at the rear of the MDA office and is available 7 days a week for cost effective, accessible accommodation for families travelling to Adelaide for medical appointments or short visits. Priority is given to people with a neuromuscular disorder, but we welcome bookings from anyone with a disability.

Facilities and equipment includes:

• 4 single electric beds
• 1 double sofa bed
• 1 fold-out bed
• All linen is provided
• Accessible bathroom including a shower chair; toilet raiser and electric hoist
• Kitchen facilities including bar fridge; microwave; toaster oven; electric frypan; portable grill; crockery; cutlery and glassware
• Washing machine
• Reverse cycle airconditioning
• TV; DVD player; stereo; DVD’s and games
• Secure parking

MDA Registered Guests
1 person (plus carer): $30/night
More than 2 people: $40/night

Non MDA Registered Guests
1 person (plus carer): $40/night
More than 2 people: $50/night
