Child Family Care

Child Family Care Programme

Dear Clients / Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and an exciting new program which is going to be offered by Muscular Dystrophy South Australia.

My name is Tania Camporeale and I will be coordinating a new program called ChildFamilyCare.  I have enjoyed a variety of occupations but have worked with people with physical and intellectual disabilities for the past seven years.  Through that time I have grown to love my interactions with clients and hope to continue to learn in future associations with you.

ChildFamilyCare will offer a range of needs based services for clients aged 25 years and under and their families, in addition to already existing supports such as Hydrotherapy and Counselling.  The program is funded by the Little Heroes Foundation whose aim is to improve the quality of life for children and young adults alike. Our aim is to improve client choices and develop individualised services specifically tailored to each client and family’s personal situation.

Additional services that we are hoping to explore are art/music therapy and other sensory programs; home maintenance/cleaning; social events; sibling and peer support/education; information; massage and meditation to name a few.

I am very excited to present this pilot program and hope that we can work together to meet your needs.  In order to deliver the most appropriate services to you, I would welcome any suggestions that you may have regarding services you would like to see implemented within the ChildFamilyCare program, and if current services are meeting your need. You can provide this feedback to me by phone, email or post.

This is your chance to have a say and I would love to hear your thoughts! Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss any questions you may have.

Kind Regards,

Tania Camporeale
